The SDL Special: The Maplestory tales
Episode 1: Kiyobi is confused.

Author's note: this first part that you are about to read is a little bit of a teaser to the end of the series. However it’s not actually the end that you are hearing, its pretty close though. In the first chapter, you'll get a teaser to the end of the second to last episode. Next chapter's teaser will be what occurred right before (note: before!) this teaser. And so on with each chapter. You won’t get all of the 2nd to last chapter, but it still lets you imagine where this is going.

"Javelin booster! Magic guard! Shadow partner! Meso guar..Hyper body! Iron will! Spear booster...Focus! Holy symb... crossbow booster!...Focus! Bow booster!...Summon drag... haste! Golden eagle... magic booster! Invincibl... magic guar..Silver Hawk, bless! Magic booster!"

"Get ready everyone!"
"We can't lose now!"
"Everyone is depending on us..."

Author's note: and now for the actual story, later on there will be references to a lot of things such as games, anime, flash movies. I'll throw in a note of where I got those lines in the form of:

"Hello there, Kiyobi..." Shouri slowly goes over to greet a seemingly barely conscious Kiyobi. Kiyobi grabs his aching head, "ughh, what happened. Hey wait, what the, am I high on something." Kiyobi looks around noticing the weird coloring around him. "No, this is the way things are here..."

"Wait what?" Kiyobi looks at Shouri with a blank stare, "hey wait a minute, where's Keiko, and aero, and... and everyone else?"

"I... don’t know. I woke up just quite a while before you did. I had a look around I don’t know what's going on but... this looks kinda like... a game..." Shouri walks towards Kiyobi. "Just have a look at the clothes that you're wearing." Shouri pokes at Kiyobi's shoulder.

"Huh? Hey wait, what kind of clothes is this? And, what is this on my hand." Shouri looks up at some random place in the sky. "Well... I've been exploring a bit, it seems that this game is... well... there's no real way of explaining why we are here, or how we got here. Oh right, I also found out, that thing on your hand, lets you use throwing stars. Oh and we have special abilities... here." Shouri walks over to Kiyobi. "Move your hand like this." Shouri makes a waving motion in front of him and a white screen appears in front of him. "These are your skills. oh and there's a help menu for this game, I’ve read through that too" After a while of explaining everything to Kiyobi, Shouri grabs a hold of Kiyobi, "remember Kiyobi, here, we don’t really die, so don’t worry about that. Let’s just worry about finding everyone else."

"So, this is Henesys huh? Oh yeah, I meant to ask, in most games, you usually start at level 1 don’t you?" "Yeah" "So why are we level 28?"
"I don’t know, there are a lot of things I can’t really explain in this place. Just keep on guard; you never know when we might see everyone else."

"If..."

Shouri and Kiyobi walk through Henesys, constantly moving their heads in hope of spotting someone familiar, "hmm... I wonder where they can be..." The two pass by a few people when suddenly Kiyobi asks " hey you... umm, have you seen anyone named Keiko? Or um aero?" "No sorry I don’t think I have." "Hmm... hey I know, if you need to know where your friends are... you should go see Grendel the old, he's the wise leader of the town of Ellinia. He might be able to help you. It's quite a bit east of here, you can’t miss it."

Shouri jumped as he claimed, "Well Kiyobi, there you go, we're going on a trip!" "That sounded like you were trying to end up a chapter to a story or something there Shouri" "Whatever could you mean?" "Oh forget it! Let's go get supplies, the Marketplace should be somewhere nearby."

Kiyobi and Shouri quickly noticed the change in background music. "Ohhh, that's some sweet tune to bob your head to." Kiyobi rushed forward, "come on come on, we need to do SOMETHING." Shouri rushed to catch up to Kiyo.

"Finally, the shop... come on Kiyo time to buy some stuff." Shouri approached the teller but was beaten there by Kiyo. "Huh? Look at these things.... red potions, white potions, blue potions? They look illegal..." "Heh, we get to buy drugs"

After finishing their purchasing, the two rushed back to the main part of the city. "What a nifty looking light post." Shouri walked up to the light post with Kiyo following behind. "Hey Shouri wait up... hey where'd he go?!" Kiyobi looked confused. "But what ... he was just here at the light post and stuff and now he's... not at the light post and like... applesauce!" At that point Shouri reappeared in front of Kiyobi. "Gah! Shouri! Don’t scare me like that." "Geez Kiyo, lighten up, this light post acts like a teleporter." "I'll never get used to this game ..."

Sure it was a bit short, mainly because I hate having to write intros. Hmmm, what in the world could be going on? Why is it that Kiyobi and the rest are in this strange world? Who knows... only time and the next episode will tell.

Episode 2: Learning to fight.

"He...he...he... isn't this just great...This is for you Kiyobi...Rei...Keiko...and the rest of you... you better manage to make it back safely or ima be really pissed off..."

"Hmm, hey Shouri, I’ve been looking through some help manual or whatever this is... it doesn't seem too hard, there are even hints on how to do well in this... game..."

"Yeah...game... I can hardly believe it either... I wonder how we got here." Shouri sighs and continues to walk behind Kiyobi. "Hey Kiyobi, you think everyone else is in here too?"

"I'm not sure, but something just tells me that they're here too..." Kiyobi, now a bit used to the scenery begins to look around, "Hey look a game Administrator, maybe they can explain what's going on?"

"I'm not sure that'll help." Shouri calls to Kiyobi, though soon realizes Kiyobi's already far ahead.

"Hey I was wondering if you could help me and my friend"
"Happy Mapling"
"I'm trying to find my friends"
"In order to make the game enjoyable for others please refrain from using hacking tools."
"Hey I was just asking..."
"That's enough Kiyobi, that's not a character, that's an NPC. Lets go, the portal to the next map is over there."

"And so, after a long while of looking through help menus and miscellaneous screens Kiyobi and Shouri have learned how to fit in, in the game."

After hearing this, Kiyobi looks puzzled, "Wait what the... What was that?"

"What was what? Ah don't worry about it... you were probably imagining it anyway."

After a few minutes of traveling

"Well, we should be half way there... hey look! I see a forest... that must be the beginning of the Ellinia territory."
"Geez Shouri, can't you keep your sentences simple... I mean just think about the readers... I mean the people listening to you."

They both continue to walk closer to the forest. A mysterious figure is seen in the distance. He quickly hurdles a bag towards Kiyobi and Shouri and just as quickly disappears. "Hey what's that?" Shouri looks a bit puzzled. "Hey there are mice coming out of that bag." The numerous mice begin to stampede towards Shouri and Kiyobi. "OH crap here they come."

"I guess we can't avoid this fight, Lucky 7!" "Magic Claw" Shouri and Kiyobi begin their assault. "What the?! We keep missing!! How's that possible?!"

"Kiyo, just how many mice are there?!!"
"Wait! Oh noes!! It can't be! There’s over nine thooooouuuussssaaaaannnnnd!!!"
"Over nine thousand! That’s impossible!"

"So like, what the f- was that about?"
"I onno"

A mysterious voice appears, "Careful now. Boy... you two ARE rather reckless aren't you?" A mage runs towards them and rapidly changes his expression and his accent to quite a low mafia accent, "Ello. My naime is Iniego Montoya, you ait my fathur, now you dai... EXPLOSION!!!!"

"Woooaaah....that's a lot of fire..." Shouri and Kiyobi both sat by with their mouths wide open. A single immune sign is seen within all of the fire. A mouse still on fire runs towards them, "ohmygodimonfire! I mean... something NOT stoouuuulen"

"Magic claw! There, I think that that's all of them" the Mysterious mage turns towards Kiyobi and Shouri. "It's been a while..."

"That voice... I thought it sounded familiar... and that sudden accent change... yup ... Haar it’s been a while..."
"Umm if you guys are done catching up, it seems the bag was immune to magic... so, we're about to get overrun again... just wanted to let you know..."

"Looks like I’m the only one that can take care of it then"

Kiyobi grins, "You take care of the mice..."

Shouri quickly shot a glare at Kiyo, "Who do you think you are giving me orders you little..."
*please refrain from using foul language in the game*
Shouri looked puzzled. "What? You mean I can't say..."

"Oh now what the"

"God freaking ..."

"Ok I’ll be quiet now... I still can’t believe we can't say bastar... yeah..."

Kiyo sighed, "Just hurry up and kill those mice." "Fine," Shouri replied.

One of the mice came dashing for Kiyo and began to talk, "Oh my god, I liek just found out that I'm a freaking clone now I have to liek go and liek destroy the whole freaking world! ... I'll start by stabbing some random chick with some long ass sword, yes that'll be a great way to start..."

"Uh... okay... that mice dies... uh... now." with those words Haar leapt in and began preparing his Frinesi yet again.

Hmm an interesting character now joins the group, this should make things fun. I'm just wondering about two things. One, what was with the random narration the characters heard... and two... what the mouse said... sounded familiar =D (mouse's saying has nothing at all to do with story btw so ya don’t really need to worry bout it)

Episode 3: Revealing the first truth!

(Btw, later on I might change my format to the original SDL style so that the fighting sequences and other events can flow somewhat more smoothly, enjoy! I might change between play and story format depending on the situation.)


"YOU'LL NEVER ESCAPE!!!"
"Hurry up and get out of here! I'll hold him off as long as I can! Now go! ... Well well, let’s give this a try, Shinning Ray! What the... barely anything... Uh... Elemental Composition! Grr... Thunder Spear... what the, none of these are any good! Fine then you leave me no choice! Icicle assault... Poison Cloud.. Fire Tower...Thunder Storm... Holy Stream!" *pant pant* “I just can’t beat it... but I can at least stall it..."

"Well wasn't that fun!" Haar grinned.
"Maybe for you! Geez, we haven't even gotten to our second job advancement... and you're already at third!" (Kiyobi = )
The vast forest known as Ellinia had been wearing the three down for quite a while.
"So, Haar, how did you get so high level, or did you just start off that way?" Shouri questioned.

"Well, for some dumb reason, I started off as a level 1 newbie, in some higher level place called Orbis. One of the people there was kind enough to give me enough yen err... mesos to get on the boat. Here, he told me it'd be easier for me here. Well... on the way here, I ran into this guy with two big purple letters on his head, he was the GM. He was wondering how I even got to Orbis. Then outta no where these big flying creatures began attacking the flying boat we were on. I figured that the GM would take care of them, but for some reason... he couldn't hurt them... I wasn't worried at first, cause I figured this is just some game after all and I couldn't really get hurt."

"Well, isn't this just a game?"

"No my friend, it aint... and that's when I began to get worried. He explained that everyone who played this game suddenly got sucked into this world. But as always I kept my cool (Haar, back at that point = "I’m gonna die aren't I?") And then..."

Flashback: Some random time, during which Haar and the GM were being attacked by the Crimson Balrog

GM: Thunder Spear! (999999 damage)
The GM fired multiple electrical spears at the Balrogs in rapid succession.
GM: This is impossible, how could they still be alive?!
Haar: what in the world is going on?! Cant you just like teleport us out of here?
GM: don’t you think I’ve tried that!
Haar: how are we still alive anyway?
GM: the protective aura I put around us is keeping us safe, but I can’t keep it going on for too long.

Female voice: Haar....

Haar: huh? Did you hear something?
GM: what? No.. Now we've got to think of something, I’d hate to find out what might happen to us if we die. I don’t think we'd just be sent back to the nearest town...

Female voice ( whispering ): Haar....Haar, I’m here to help you . Close you eyes and envision your weapon.

Haar: what the... right now, when I’m about to get killed?!

Female voice ( whispering ): don’t worry, I’ll be here to help you.

A ghost like figure appears behind Haar, she hugs him from behind and knits her fingers over Haar's.

Female voice ( whispering ): just close your eyes, (Haar’s eyes immediately shut) and see it in your mind's eye.

Haar: hmm, why does this sound like a dot hack sign rip off?

Female voice: ohjustshutupanddoasIsay. (smile)

A small bag drops next to Haar.

Female voice ( whispering, now besides Haar, grabbing his shoulder ): open it, it’s the only way you'll survive!

GM: Haar, what are you doing just standing there!

Haar ( to himself ): the GM seriously can't see her?

Haar: fine then if this is the only way...

Back in Ellinia

"And so I used this," Haar pulls a small bag out of his pocket.

"You fought them with a bag!!!" Kiyobi looked completely shocked.

"No you twit! I used this," Haar pulls a large weapon out of the bag.

"How did that even fit in there!"

"I’d like to introduce you to 'Haar's Modified Frinesi Tactical 12 Gauge'"

"But that's not a part of this game!" Shouri looked both worried and puzzled.

"Um... oh well, came in handy though" Haar waved his gun around. "Unfortunately it looks a bit childish here, but still packs a punch!" With those words Haar accidentally fires at Kiyobi. "Oh whoops, I think I killed him... oh wait never mind... he's still alive."

"Ughhh... that hurt... what was that for?"

"Uh... Kiyobi," Shouri appeared annoyed, " how is it that you're not like, dead or something..."

"Umm... I don’t know I jus.."

Haar’s gun goes off again nailing Kiyo in the side, "what the, what'd you do that for?!" Kiyobi angrily marched towards Haar, "did you really have to shoot me again!?"

"Well I at least proved one thing... you have dun die... must have infinite lives or sumthin..."

"How odd... first Haar gets that gun in this game, then Kiyobi can't seem to die... something weird is going on here..." Shouri thought to himself.

"But anyway, the GM was so grateful, he did this for me...err, the high level part... oh yeah, that girl-ghost thing also gave me these two." Haar holds out a black glass sphere and a white glass sphere.

"What do those do?" Shouri looked back at Haar.

"Cant say I really know what they do, she just said that I’d meet two friends who'd be able to use them." Haar handed them over to Shouri and Kiyobi.

"Ohmygod, they're glowing... Something's happening!!" Kiyobi's appeared awed.

"Nothing you twit its just the sun's frigging reflection!" Haar yelled while turning his head downward, closed eyes, shaking his fist at Kiyo.

"Oh, riiiiight."

Shouri decided to step in at this point, "let’s get going... maybe this Grendel the old guy we're supposed to see has some answers."

Hmmm, nothing too interesting yet you say? Well don’t you worry, like I said I hate having to work into a plot and having to give background stories and all. I'm going to try working more in depth into how they actually attack by the fifth episode. I might have to do long explanations though, since you can't actually see what I want you to see.

Shouri: wow this place is huge!!
Kiyobi: oh gee-rate! (<--- g-reat) I hope the next portal is down here somewhere
Haar: no I’m afraid not... it’s... all the way up there. *points to top*
Kiyobi: well how in the world are we supposed to get all of the way up there!
Shouri: climb I guess...

The three hurry over to the nearest branch.

Kiyobi: This looks like the kind of tree house Bill Gates would buy for his kids
Shouri: come on, whining wont do you any good...

After a bit of climbing...

The three find themselves near the top left of the map.

Kiyobi: There! I can see the portal to the next map!
Haar: yeah, all we have to do is make that jump over that gap right there and we'll get that much closer to Ellinia.
Haar (to himself): good thing I can teleport, that gap looks as if it’s too big to jump across
Haar: okay now! Let’s give this a shot!

Haar teleports across and clearly manages to make it.

Shouri: well that's just cheating Haar
Kiyobi: yeah, no fair! I’ll go next.
Kiyobi tries to jump.
Kiyobi: ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, what the... how'd I miss the platfooooooooorrrrrrmmmmmm!!! ... Ow that fall hurt...
Kiyobi climbs back up.
Kiyobi: let’s try this again!
Kiyobi leaps across, only to fall short again.
Kiyobi: it...figures... *frustrated look*
Shouri: That's not funny Haar!
Shouri points at Haar, who seems to be enjoying teleporting back and forth across the gap.
Kiyobi: Not cool...
Haar: oh just use these!
Haar drops some gray paper like objects in front of the two.
Kiyobi: Are those... what I think they are... YOU'VE HAD RETURN TO NEAREST TOWN SCROLLS AND YOU DIDN'T TELL US??!!
Shouri: hey don’t blow a fuse Kiyobi
Haar: yeah I did, but I just wanted to see you suffer a bit with this part. =)

In Ellinia

Kiyobi: Oh well that's just flippin great!
Shouri: go figure that we end up at the bottom of the town and Haar ends up at the top ()
Kiyobi: *sigh* well... let’s start climbing; I’ll go this way you go that way.
Shouri: are you sure you don’t want to just...
Kiyobi: let’s just start climbing and get this over with already!
Shouri: if you say so
Shouri heads to the right out of Kiyobi's sight.
Kiyobi: Hmm, wow, this path seems to be very direct. *pulls out a minimap of the town* oh... Shouri's path doesn't seem too friendly... I guess I’ll wait for him up here then...

Kiyobi quickly begins to climb up.

A minute or so later.

Kiyobi: wow, that wasn't that bad... I fell kinda sorry for Shouri though...
Shouri: why is that?
Kiyobi: WAIT...WHAT THE... but but... you went over... and that side was... longer and like... you'd end up on the right side... but you're here on the left ... gah! X.x
Shouri: Well I was going to say earlier, if you just wanted to take the teleporter at the bottom of the map that takes us to the top... but you just didn't pay attention...
Kiyobi: *face palm*

In the library of Ellinia

Grendel: hmm... you seem to be strong enough now... why not test your strength... take this to the forest north of Ellinia to a colleague of mine...
Shouri: umm... sure... I guess... but what we really came here for was to ask you a few questions... (To himself: I feel ... something...)
Grendel: you're trial awaits you first... I have arranged with Dark Lord so that you too can face the trial here in Ellinia, Kiyobi. He will meet you here when you are done... As for you Haar... watch over them... there seems to be something strange lurking in the northern forest, they may need your help.
Kiyobi (to himself): OH gee-reat!! We just got here and not only did we not get any answers but now we have to go and take some dumb test...
Kiyobi: Hey, Haar... where'd Shouri go?

The forest north of Ellinia
------------------------------------------------------------

Shouri (to himself): Sorry you two, but I had to see something for myself....
Shouri: REI! REI! I know you're there! Answer me!!
Rei: Shouri...
Shouri: So it was true, you're the one that helped Haar back then...
Rei appears in front of Shouri still semi transparent, though looking rather normal otherwise.
Shouri: I... thought I had lost you...
Rei: hmph... as if you cared... how'd you know I was in this game?
Shouri: Rei... why... what did I do?
Rei: Well.. Oh... lets see... Does the name Cream ring a bell?!
Shouri: okay okay! I made a mistake, but you didn't have to go and disappear like that! I thought something terrible happened to you...
Rei: well something terrible did happen! I'm stuck in this stupid game! I thought you'd never actually find me in here... I figured you'd never play this game anymore... geez...
Shouri: well... actually... I didn't come in here because of you... we all ended up in here... well I don’t know how... something's wrong with this game... I may work for the company, but I don't know what's going on OR how to fix it.
Rei: Shouri... Shouri... Shouri... I would've thought it would've been obvious... almost cliche-ish ()... someone took over this game... seems like a virus program... but its not normal.
Shouri: Is that what caused you to...
Rei: become like this? I don’t know... when I first came in to the game... this is how I was... wait! I don’t even know why I’m still talking to you!
Shouri: but Rei... I’m I’m...
Rei: I don’t want to hear it! Be glad I showed Haar how to use his ability, for some reason we cant use it normally as it was originally intended... but I found a way for him to use it... besides, I have no problems with him
Shouri: Wait... what ability did I end up with then?
Rei: hmph... like I’ll tell you!
Shouri: So how'd you get to learn all of this anyways?
Rei: Oh that was simple... let's just say a little birdie taught me everything I need to know. I can manipulate very few things in this game though. I'm like a mini-GM, he he. Wait what am I saying... leave me alone... you're the last person I'd want to be talking to!

Kiyobi (from a distance): Shouri! Is that you over there?
Shouri (turning around): Yeah, what's up? (To himself: Rei!)
Shouri turns around seeing only a few tree stumps and slimes in the distance.
Haar: Let's get a move on you two. It's time for your test.
Shouri: Yeah, let’s go...

Well this is my first creation ever using this writing style and I’ll remind everyone again that this is based off of SDL by Kiyobi who's hiding in some corner right now or something *points out Kiyo*

Whoa Rei pops in out of no where. Boy does she seem pissed about the whole thing between me and Cream (in the distance: YOU BET I AM!!!) *sweat drop* Oookaaaayyyy... Any who, things are still somewhat slow and there really wasn't any fighting in this episode, but I can promise you some fun antics next time so stay tuned!

Shouri: Oh jesus!
Kiyobi: oh flippin...
Haar: wow, that's one hell of a tall tree... kinda makes me want to shoot it down.
Haar began eyeing the bag with his Frinesi tactical 12 gauge.
Kiyobi: Hey! Keep your gun in your sack.
Shouri: That's what she said!
Kiyobi: oh you little >_>
Haar: quit messing around you two, you have a test to take after all.
Kiyobi: don't remind me... and what are you talking about! You’re the one that wanted to shoot down the tree!

A few green slimes begin to approach the trio.

Kiyobi: oh whatever lets just go.
Kiyo throws some stars at the slimes.
Kiyobi (to himself): I still find my using stars to be ironic...
Author's Note: In the original SDL there were weekly pranks at Kiyo's high school on Wednesdays, Kiyo happened to be the target on one of the weeks. He was constantly being harassed by ninja stars throughout the entire day.

Shouri: uh Kiyo, I’d hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you just missed.
Haar couldn't really hold back his laughter.
Haar: That was pathetic. How'd you miss against a slime!
Kiyobi: Hey wait, what the... I keep missing!?
Shouri: step aside nub face. I'll finish em before you can see them get hit.
Shouri begins his assault only to find his attacks missed as well.
Kiyobi: so should I close my eyes then?
Shouri: oh just shut up and help me out here.

???: Fight one... starto!
All Three: What the hell was that?!

Haar: who cares, let me take care of these little bastards!
Haar began readying his spells.
Haar: hmm what to use.... lets go with explosion!
Fire particles began forming around Haar creating a spiral. They began converging towards the center finishing off with multiple fire explosions covering nearly their entire viewing distance.
Haar: well that should be that... lets get a move on.

Shouri: uh Haar...
Shouri points to the slimes that are still making their way towards the trio.

Haar: how would you like a taste of my little friend (Haar began pulling his Frinesi out of the small bag on his side)

Shouri: eww that sounded wrong

Haar: dammit Shouri what gives with all of the sexual innuendos this episode? I mean.. today... yeah that's what I meant to say...
Shouri: careful now, the slimes are almost here.

Haar begins firing his semi-automatic weapon. The only thing that can be seen from the direction of the slimes is the dust being kicked up from the spread fire.

Kiyobi: So Shouri... do you see what I see...
Shouri: yup... unfortunately
Kiyobi: So for some stupid reason the slimes seem to be able to parry all of our attacks >_>
Shouri: uh huh
Kiyobi: and even Haar's magic is useless as well as his Frinesi
Shouri: so what do we do? Physical attacks seem useless and magical attacks don’t have any effect... not even Haar’s ridiculously out of place weapon did any good.

Kiyo turns around as he hears a soft, nearly inaudible voice behind him.
???: the path before you is obscured by a blinding fog, only your brightness can clear the paaaaaattttthhhh...
The voice fades as quickly as it came leaving Kiyo utterly confused.
Kiyobi: wait what was that about fog?
Shouri: what the hell are you talking about?
Kiyobi: it was something about brightness... and fog
Rei: My god! Are you three retarded?! Use the freaking spheres!

The three turned around quickly but Rei was already long gone.

Kiyobi: Oh the spheres! I get it, the fog is the slimes since they're in our way, and the brightness was a reference to when I thought the spheres were glowing (Shouri: when it ended up just being the sun)... quiet you!

Haar: If you two rather calm losers are finally getting back into this reality, we do still have to deal with these things before we can go up to take your test.

Kiyobi: okay lets give this black sphere thingy a try... but what the hell am I supposed to do?
Rei: Hold it out in front of you, you moron, think of any cheesy anime that seems similar! God, it should've been so obvious since it's such a stereotypical thing that someone would do!

Kiyobi: who the hell was that anyways? The voice sounded a bit familiar...
Kiyo holds the black sphere in his palm in front of him.
Kiyobi: well I don’t think anything is happening...
Rei: oh that's because I haven't done this yet
Rei's nearly transparent body quickly floats down.
Kiyobi: Rei!...
Kiyo's next few words are cut off as Rei plants a kiss on Kiyo's forehead. Her body then begins to dissipate into light.
Rei: Give em a good whooping for me,'kay? *wink*

Kiyobi: eh, what just happened, oh chit its glowing!
Shouri: so what completely unMaplestory like thing is going to happen now?

Kiyo's claw around his left hand begins to glow with a dark blue aura which seems to be growing bigger by the moment.
Kiyobi: Lunar Infliction!
At that moment, a bright orange aura glowed from the other side of the map.
Keiko: Don't forget about me now! Solar Infliction!

Author's note: Cue the long ass description of their special joint attack!

Both Kiyo and Keiko rushed towards the slimes between the two of them. Kiyo began by swiping at the slimes diagonally leaving behind a thick trail as he swiped. This lifted the slimes slightly into the air. Keiko dashed forward quickly, jumping into a front flip to knock down the slimes with a well planted kick. By this time Kiyo had already vanished and reappeared somewhat above and to the right, tossing a gigantic dark, spinning aura sphere into the sky. Keiko followed up by melding a light aura sphere into the sky to fuse with the dark sphere. She then back flipped into the sky.

Keiko: Take these one-san!

She yelled these as she tossed two daggers which stuck to the ground in front of Kiyo. Kiyo ran up and front flipped, grabbing the daggers as he passed upside down over them. The next part could only be described as Kiyo going insane hack&slash on the slimes. A flurry of vertical and horizontal swings with the occasional stab and diagonal cross could barely be made out.

Shouri: Hey look the spheres in the sky, something's happening.

The glowing mass of who knows what above Kiyo was pulsating. The sphere burst from the center to reveal a scattered cluster of what looked like dark icicles which began raining down towards Kiyo and the monsters.
Keiko(to herself): oh no, Kiyo!
Keiko swiftly dashed towards Kiyo and jumped straight towards him to grab his shirt with both of her hands. She used the grip and her gained momentum to raise her feet towards somewhere a bit above his stomach and kicked him with both of her feet simultaneously. The two were sent flying to opposite corners just as the dark icicles rained down on the slimes.

Shouri: wow, sick combo. That'll teach em to try to parry an EX-Special.

Haar: a what?
Shouri: oh nothing. Go figure that Kiyo's sis is a dagger user huh? She looks like a bandit already from those clothes. Ha! Kiyo got out leveled by his sis! huh, where'd my light sphe... oh I guess that went to Keiko... why am I the only normal one around here?!!
???: because you bluck.

Because I bluck? Who the hell says bluck... what is bluck anyways? Oh whatever I’m still a bit confuzzled at what just happened. Hell, at least now we know what those spheres do. Rei made another small guest appearance... she called us retarded... well Kiyo at least xP. Seems like we're going to meet yet another person. Friend or foe? Even I don't know... hey that rhymes! *smacked* owww
